We take a one-on-one, personalized rehabilitation and a physician-led approach to providing services from cardiac rehabilitation to wound care, helping patients successfully complete recovery in the shortest time possible.

Rehab Select at Talladega Healthcare serves patients and families across Talladega, Calhoun, St. Clair, Clay, and Cleburne counties, including Lincoln, Munford, Childersburg, Sylacauga, Oxford, Anniston, Jacksonville, Pell City, Ashland, Lineville, and Heflin.
Therapy is personalized to each patient with a unique treatment plan and takes place across three gyms, for occupational, physical, and speech therapy, using equipment that pinpoints each patient's weaknesses for a precise plan of attack, plus air-pressure resistance equipment that builds strength without the intimidation of traditional weights. Patients have access to up to three hours of therapy each day, and recover in large private rooms and outdoor courtyards, easing the emotional weight of a stay.
A physician is on staff seven days a week, with a psychiatrist and psychologist rounding weekly and an on-staff orthopedic surgeon available for consultation. Licensed therapists, nurses, and physicians round on-site each week, including weekly wound care rounds — with leadership staying visible on the floor, not managing from behind a desk.
Located in a residential neighborhood within easy reach of downtown businesses and services, we help patients move from hospital to rehabilitation — and home — safely and confidently.
Physicians guide treatment planning and care coordination throughout each patient's stay, with wound care rounds led by a clinician — physician or nurse practitioner — on a weekly basis.
Rehab Select at Talladega Healthcare accepts patients ages 20 and older, including those with tracheostomies and chest tubes, with an average patient age of 55. Our clinical team is equipped to manage complex medical needs as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation or long-term care plan. Specialized units include a 29-bed short-term rehab area and 49-bed Alzheimer’s/dementia care center.
